TENNIS TOTS RED III (3-4 years) Pre School and first year of school
The sessions are an ideal way to introduce your child to tennis. The emphasis is on fun! All children develop their hand/eye coordination and balance and they learn all the basic strokes, simply explained. They learn through fun games and play. |
MINI TENNIS RED II (4-6 years)
Played on a mini tennis court with low compression balls and a mini tenis net. Fun games with lots of ball perception skills. Coordination and developing balance play an important role. All strokes are simply explained. Children will be introduced to rallying, playing the game and fun competitions. |
MINI TENNIS RED I (7-9 years)
Played on a mini tennis court with low compression balls and a mini tenis net.This is for children who can rally using the low compression ball. Emphasis will be in consistency, stroke technique, mini tennis matches and simple tactics, as well as fun competitions. |
MINI TENNIS ORANGE (8-10 years)
Played on a shortened full tennis court with low compression balls Focus is still on the ball skills and perception, but also more racquet work. Introduction to full court size, initially through a shorter court. The balls slow the game down to a speed that gives children time to play good basic tennis shots and enables them to have maximum fun playing the game. |
MINI TENNIS GREEN (9-11 years)
Played on a full sized tennis court using balls of higher compression although slightly lighter and slower bouncing than a full tennis court to help children perfect their technique. This is the next stagetowards a full sized game. The children will learn about movement on the court including position and recovery. They also develop their groundstrokes and serve to enable them to play a game on a full sized court. There will be a little more emphasis on the children playing competitions. |
REGULAR FULL SIZED TENNIS (11-13 years)
This concentrates totally on racquet and ball work on a full-size court, using regular balls. All children should have mastered all the basic strokes and be proficient at rallying from the baseline. Emphasis is on drills and exercises to improve consistency, accuracy and control. Lots of singles and doubles match play.
Younger children whose ball skills are very advanced will be taken on this course. |
